Glitter Nails from L'Oreal and Mavala
It’s December – and that means you can officially wear glitter anytime, anywhere! The festive season isn’t complete without a little bit of sparkle, and there’s nothing prettier than glittery, sparkly nails.
I’ve been using two cute little top coats/polishes of late, from L’Oreal and Mavala. The reason I like them is simple – they’re both under a fiver. And they’re both very good quality for that price.
The Mavala ‘Glamour Collection’ polishes are in the cute litlte Mavala bottles, and are available now from Mavala stockists. There are five to choose from, all of them sparkly and shiny, and all of them very blendable. I have been wearing a mix of two on my nails this week, and they look fab.
Glam Style is a gold and copper glitter combination, Glam Ice is silver glitter with diamond shine, Glam Chic is bright gold glitter, Glam Show is a rose gold glitter, for a more sophisticated glittery look, Glam Rock is black and silver for an edgier look, and Glam Fizz is a light gold glitter, inspired by champagne bubbles. Hic!
L’Oreal have two new shades of their Top Coat Sirens Glitter Top Coats (at least I think it’s just two, I am a little bit confused by what’s available and what’s not, with L’Oreal!). Anyway, the two top coats I’ve been trying are Sailor Dream, a gold top coat with small and large glitter particles, and Underwater Kiss, a lovely shiny pink glittery top coat, with bigger particles.
These little bottles are all packed full of glitter, which can be a nightmare to get off, but here’s my tip: get yourself a pot of acetone used to remove gel nails. If you can get one of those pots you dip your fingers in and twist, the glitter will come off, trust me!

Snow Globe is just like a snow globe – you shake it to use. How they get the polish and glitter to do this, I don’t know, but it’s cute.
