YSL Christmas Kiss & Love

YSL’s Christmas 2015 collection, Kiss & Love, which launched last week, is simple. I already discussed the Limited Edition version of the Touche Eclat in the Cult Beauty slot last week.

The rest of the collection is also lip imprint embossed, very pretty, and, er, very small. Which is actually a good thing.

The palette is the hero product, and this Christmas Kiss & Love Multi Usage palette (£59) is very cute. About the size of an iPhone, the golden case is sealed with lots of little kisses, and contains seven products.

High pearl gold, dark brown, silvery shimmer and champagne gold eyeshadows are joined by two Rouge Volupte shades, Playful Light Pink, or Pure Red, both illuminated by little golden pearls. Finallythere is a lovely delicate coral for cheeks.

I have to say that whilst I LOVE palettes like this to look at, I almost never use them. Are you a palette fan? I just find it all a bit of a faff, at times, and I fear the eyehadows here will drop into the lips.

The lips are probably a highlight of this mini-collection. The Limited Edition Rouge Pur Couture Collector Kiss & Love Edition (£26) comes in four shades – orange, fuchsia, red and nude. The deep plum shade, is, I think, a USA exclusive.

Each of these lipsticks has lovely little lips embossed on the bullet,and one on the case. Very cute, and a lovely girlie gift for Christmas. But be quick – they are selling fast!

There are two new nail polishes for Christmas 2015 – but not part of the Kiss & Love collection, and I haven’t seen them for sale on the UK site yet. They are gorgeous and festive though – a lovely shimmery orange and red. Keep an eye out for these.

Finally, that Touche Eclat (£25), we discussed at length last week. If you are a Touche fan, then this is a very pretty version. It was stated to come in two shades, but it does actually come in three – Rose, Peach and Ivory Radiance.
