DKNY Be Desired
Apples! I’ve been surrounded by them of late, with my mum’s apple tree providing me with more than I know what to do with. And my vintage collection of ice buckets includes three in apple form.
So, it’s fitting that the latest fragrance to land on my desk is the newest in the DKNY Delicious range – simply DKNY Be Desired. Housed in the iconic apple bottle, Be Desired features a new floral element, with lush and creamy tones infused with a very green floral direction.
The top notes sparkle, thanks to orange oil combined with tart blackcurrant and dewy violet leaves. Iced grapefruit provides energy at the heart, along with the floral bouquet of jasmine sambac and turkish rose.
The base notes are woody, with cedarwood and amber wood. Did you know that DKNY Be Delicious was the first fragrance brand to extract the fruit’s delectable juice for its scent alone? Over a decade later, Be Delicious is constantly being reinvented and interpreted in different forms.
This latest one is really citrus-y and zingy, possibly too much for me, but then I am not a huge fan of the Be Delicious scent. If you are though, I would suggest you are going to love this latest apple.
DKNY Be Desired, £69 100ml, £50 50ml, and £37 30ml, available from October 14, at department stores and other stockists. Call 0870 034 2566. Follow the story on Facebook at DKNY Fragrances page
