Body Moisturiser Bargains

You know how it is. You get back your holiday and you try to eke out the very last of your tan. I’m not one for faking it, so when I get a little bit of a natural glow, I do like to hang on to it as long as I can.

So, I get very regimented with my body moisturising, er, regime. But…hands up who forgets to moisturise after a shower? Yep, me too. So, Nivea’s in-shower Body Moisturisers are a great invention, agreed?

I reviewed these when they first came out, and I do rate them, particularly when they cost around £3 a bottle. The latest is the Q10 Firming In Shower Moisturiser, which has those little Q10 beads that work onto your skin, moisturising and firming as you go. After you apply, rinse off, and then get dried. It does feel slightly tightening, and cooling which is no bad thing.

However, I have also just discovered another body moisturiser that is not expensive, and really, really easy to apply. Balance Active has two fantastic spray body lotions which are a revelation. Hydrating Spray Body Lotion with Smoothing Hyaluronic Acid and Coconut Oil, is brilliant for moisturising post-holiday skin, and Nourishing Spray Body Lotion with Anti-Aging Syn-ake Peptide & Argan Oil is perfect for anti-ageing; nourishing your skin.

I have tried both of these, and I am in love with them. The lightweight, non-greasy formula is SO easily absorbed. The air powered spray is brilliant – just spray on all over, and then rub in. You really don’t feel it on your skin, and yet your skin feels moisturised and dry. I can’t speak highly enough of these sprays! And…they’re just £5.49 each.

I’ve tried literally dozens of body moisturisers over the years, many of them very, very expensive, but to be honest these bargain body moisturisers are as good as any.
