It’s always nice to discover new beauty brands -and there are hundreds out there, trust me! The latest I have come across is Pixi by Petra, a brand created by Petra Strand, over 10 years ago. (So, yes, I am late to this party!).

I haven’t tried much of the brand, and there is, obviously, a huge makeup range, but I am focusing on two of her skincare products I have tried.

The weird thing is, I really like the pastel pink and mint green packaging on the skincare, but I do find it a wee bit off-putting on the makeup – and I can’t explain why. I’m just not a fan.

So, first up, the Makeup Melting Cleansing Cloths (£10), which, I think, is just a cute way of not calling a wipe a wipe! However, each soft cloth is infused with chamomile and grapeseed oil to calm skin, leaving it feeling perfectly clean & balanced. I am not a fan of wipes. I think because I used to ‘cleanse’ with baby wipes, and realised my skin thanked me more when i discovered proper cleansing that I find it hard to use them. But, I did find these easy to use on holiday, and they do leave your skin feeling okay, and not dried out like many wipes do.

Then, there’s the Hydrating Milky Mist (£18), which is a great product, and unlike anything else I have – which is no mean feat, considering I have pretty much tried every product in the beauty Kingdom! It’s a really, really, light, featherligh,  mist which is also fun to use. Just spritz it on!

It contains hyaluronic acid, a blend of black oat, provitamin A and lineolic acid. Use it before a serum as a first line of moisturisation. On holiday, I just loved spraying this on my face, and it was brilliant on the plane.
