What's Your Line, Clinique?

2 min read

Clinique are inviting you to discover ‘What’s Your Line?’ with their latest collection focusing on the eyes. There are four new products in this little mini collection, all of them allowing you to create both simple and dramatic eye looks for any occasion.

1. Clinique’s new Skinny Sticks (£15) are two thirds the diameter of traditional pencils. That means they allow for a close to the lash line application, which in turn creates the appearance of thicker, fuller lashes. There are loads of colours to choose from – Slimming Black, Black Silver, Slim Sable, Olive-tini, Skinny Jeans, Demi-Grape, Angel Hair are permanent, and there are Limited Edition shades of Wheat Thin, Lemon Slice, Thin Mint, Lanky Lapis and Mini Moss. I tried Angel Hair, which is white, on the bottom water line, and it really is the skinniest liner I’ve seen!

2. I love this one. Clinique’s Just Browsing Brush-On Styling Mousse (£16) is  really great. It’s an innovative gel-mousse formula, which tints brows, and brushes and tames them at the same time. It does harden a bit once on, but at least you know it isn’t going anywhere! It comes in four shades, Soft Blonde, Soft Brown, Deep Brown and Brown/Black.

3. Clinique’s new mascara, Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara (£17.50), is an interesting one. The brush is not fibre, but silicone, and is fat, but with tiny little bristles – and lots of them. They grab every little lash, adding volume and thickening even the faintest litlte lashes – you know the ones! I found it quite easy to use, and it does pick up all your wee lashes, but the coverage isn’t the biggest and boldest, so maybe not a mascara for the evening if you love that thick, spidery-leg look! It comes in Jumbo Jet, a permanent shade, and limited Two Ton Teal, Massive Midnight and Bodacious Black Honey.

4. Last but not least, Clinique’s new liquid eyeliner, Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen (£19). I am a bit of a one-liner gal when it comes to this product. I cannot see past Clarins liner (it lasted ALL day and night on my wedding day – the stuff is amazing!), but this isn’t the worst I’ve tried of late! It stayed on for a few hours, but it did smudge a bit. The brush is quite moveable as well; a bit bendy, which can be difficult for liquid eyeliner novices. It comes in two shades – Black and Brown.

All of the above products are available at Clinique counters and clinique.co.uk from July 31.
