Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme

A new Tom Ford fragrance – sigh. I LOVE Tom Ford perfume. It is, without a doubt, the biggest perk, and best discovery, of my time as a beauty journalist.

From Black Orchid, to the Private Blends, with everything in between, I don’t think there is a Tom Ford fragrance I don’t like.

This latest one is Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme, coming on the back of the hugely popular men’s scent, Noir. The bottle is, quite frankly, to die for.

So, what’s this new  Noir Pour Femme like? Well, it’s a rich floral, with a sensual amber and woody base.

It opens with citrus and spice, which hit you before the floral notes which follow. Mandarin oil, bitter orange from Italy and ginger extract are the citrus top notes.

The sensual, floral, heart is delicious – rose absolute, jasmine, and orange flower.

These noble flowers are paired with a taste of an Indian Kulfi accord, inspired by the ancient royal concoction prepared for 16th century Indian emperors.

This milky confection combines a hint of pistachio, interpreted in the fragrance by a lentisque resinoid note, blended with an expression of the crushed ice that was traditionally imported from frozen Himalayan lakes.

A warm and addictive background emerges from the feminine florals, thanks to vanilla and amber, with sandalwood completely the warmth. Beautiful!

The fragrance is also available in a Hydrating Emulsion – a glorious body lotion, luxurious and satin-like, which smoothes and softens the skin, and allows you to layer the scent.
