Fake tan Bronzer and Night Cream?!

2 min read

If you read this blog regularly you will know that I had a bit of a pre-wedding tanning moment, before deciding (again!) that fake tanning was not for me! However, I did really like my Vita Liberata fake tan, and was interested in a couple of their latest products which were sent to me.

First up is their Trystal Minerals Self-Tanning Tanning Bronzing Minerals (£35). Yep, a self-tan bronzer. So, essentially a bronzer, which you apply like a normal bronzer, but which develops a natural tan over 4-8 hours which lasts up to five days.

I have not tried this product yet. I am actually terrified to do so. What if I swirl it on and then it tans my face in a swirly pattern?I just know this could happen to me! Apparently it won’t.

Apparently you should, for best results, apply over your regular moisturiser or foundation, using the Kabuki brush included, and blend it onto the face, neck and decollete in sweeping movements. Infused with micronized crsytals, Trystal Minerals reflects light to create a smooth skin finish, whilst the active tanning ingredient, DHA, is released slowly onto the skin to create the tan.

A top tip from Vita Liberata is to build up the bronzer around the cheekbones to achieve a lasting contouring effect, which makes sense if you are a contouring fan – cuts out a good hour or so when you want to contour! I love the concept of this, and tanning products are getting more clever by the day, but I am, as ever, a little scared.

Also from Vita Liberata, is the Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask (£29.95). Again, this one is a wee bit scary, but  I wasn’t too afraid to try this, and it is a gradual tanner.Vita Liberata Self Tanning Night Moisture MmaskIt gives you all the intensive anti-ageing benefits a nighttime mask should give, and gradually builds a glowing and natural tan.

It contains things like Buddleja Davidii, Mallow and Sunflower Seed, as well as Vitamins A, C and D for soothing and calming the skin. Oh and there’s extracts of Shea, Aloe Vera, Glycerin and Neroli in there too. Use it regularly to build up a glow, and always wash your hands after application!
