Rimmel's Sweetie Heart Matte Pastel Nails

If you’re anything like me, you’ll have had enough sweet things over Easter to last a lifetime. BUT…I found something very sweet that doesn’t make me feel sick at the thought! Rimmel’s Sweetie Heart Matte Pastel Nail Colour Collection!

Rimmel Sweetie Heart Matte Pastel Nail Colours

This little collection of candy-coloured polish has been in stores since last month, and there are five cute candy colours to choose from.

They’re very 1950s shades – my vintage kitchen unit is pretty mRimmel do 50s style pastelsuch the same as the yellow shade!

Each of them dries to a very matte, velvety finish, which I’m not overly keen on in some shades, but don’t mind in others. It also looks great on toes.

My favourite, if pushed, is the blue, with yellow a close second.

Matte nail polish is quite difficult to get your head around – nails should look shiny and, well, polished, no?!

Well, in short, no.

Matte nails are a big trend to come off the catwalk, and for spring they should be pastel.

You need two coats of this, but no top coat of course. The finish is good, and it doesn’t  chip that easily.

The five lovely shades are soft pink Cheeky Girl, fresh pistachio green Chase Me, cornflower blue Cheeky Chap, buttercup yellow Love Bug, and peachy-apricot You’re Mine.
