Clinique's New Pop Lip Colour + Primer

It’s probably hard for Clinique to follow the HUGE success that was, and is, the Chubby Stick. Who hasn’t copied the chunky lip balm crayon since it was launched a few years ago? But the beauty industry demands new and innovative products all the time, so enter Clinique’s latest – the Pop Lip Colour + Primer.

Essentially this is a lipstick, but it has the added benefits of having a smoothing primer in it, perfecting your lips, as you apply.

The built-in primer smoothes, defines ad nourishes lips to keep them conditioned throughout the day.

The colours are good – the pigment is rich, and the finish is a pretty matte effect, and it feels very velvety when on.

The Pop Lip Colour + Primer is formulated with shea and murumuru butters which are combined into a flexible polymer blend that provides ‘moisture maintenance’ for the lips.

The flexible polymers keep the colours vivid and vibrant throughout the day.

There are 16 shades available in total, in four groups.

In the Nudes there’s Nude Pop, Bare Pop, Cola Pop, and Beige Pop. In the Tawnies, there’s Melon Pop, Poppy Pop, Passion Pop, and Cherry Pop.

In Pinks, try Sweet Pop, Punch Pop, Wow Pop, or Fab Pop.

And in Violets there’s Love Pop, Plum Pop, Berry Pop, and Grape Pop.
