Radley launch fragrance

UK handbag and accessories brand Radley have moved into the beauty market with the launch of a signature fragrance and bodycare range. Radley London, which launched this week is made in England, and has been developed by renowned perfumer Azzi Glasser, and brought to the market by the Floris group, the UK’s oldest independent perfumer.

So, it has a lot of heritage behind it, which you would expect from this classic British brand.

I wanted the fragrance to personify Radley’s fresh, modern classic personality evoking its sophistication throughout the formula,” says Azzi Glasser.

I added a magical touch to the formulation by placing a woody based molecule which helps to diffuse the Radley London perfumefragrance throughout the day, based on the temperature of the skin.”

Essentially, this means the fragrance changes as you wear it. But, what does it smell like?! It’s a very pleasant woody floral scent that is inoffensive, not overly daring, and could be worn by a wide range of .

It’s very pretty, with top notes of freesia, Sicilian bergamot, prune compound and pink peony.

At the heart it has Rose de Mai absolute, Tiare flower and Tiger Lily, and then on the dry down, you will find frankincense, oud and myrrh oils, clean white musks and that woody molecule compound.

It is quite a powdery smell for me, but it’s not unpleasant, and is the perfect Mother’s Day gift perhaps?!

The EDP comes in two sizes – 30ml and 75ml, and there is a Body Lotion, and a Body Wash available now, with more additions to the line coming later this year.

Radley London EDP 30ml/75ml, £34/60, and Body Lotion & Body Lotion 300ml, £20 each, available now from Radley stores nationwide, and radley.co.uk
