CHANEL ROUGE COCO LIPSTICKS

A lipstick is my absolute favourite beauty item of them all. And the more luxurious, the better. I’ve always been a sucker for a Chanel lippy – I’ve had countless shades of red from Chanel over the years, and loved them all. I wish they would bring back New York Red, but we can’t have everything!

Rouge Coco, Chanel’s Ultra Hyrating Lip Colour will be relaunched next month, in 29 new shades (some are location specific), including mischievous reds, delicate pinks, nude beiges, intense plums, and fresh oranges.

These are classic lipsticks – classic bullet shaped, black case with Chanel’s iconic double C logo. The formula has also been revamped. It is quite a shiny lipstick, you can barely feel it on your lips, it sort of melts away. Rouge Coco are also hydrating, thanks to a specific wax, selected by Chanel research, which becomes one with the lips on contact for a glide-on, soft feel, and to a butter composed of three plant waxes (jojoba, mimosa and sunflower) whcih continuously nourishes, hydrates and protects.

The Rouge Coco lipstick also contains a polymer film combined with silicone microbeads to aid plumping and smoothing of the lips, as they fill creares and rough areas to prevent colour from bleeding and feathering.

I love Chanel lipstick. It’s the perfect way to treat yourself to a little bit of designer glamour. The colours are great – rich in pigment, and the colour spectrum is huge – there must be a shade for you in there! There are five Nudes, five Oranges, six Pinks, four Rosewoods, four Reds and five Plums.
