Clarins Garden Escape

2 min read

It’s that time of year again – new Spring collections are landing on beauty counters, to brighten up our January. First to land on my desk was the new Garden Escape collection from Clarins.

The French beauty house has created a gorgeous Spring collection inspired by a radiant garden. The Limited Edition 6-Colour Eye Palette (£32) is floral-inspired and embossed, and reflects a garden in spring time, blossoming with luscious greens, petal pinks, snowdrop white and woody brown. There’s a Blush Prodige (£26) is Sweet Rose, a lovely dual bush with a matte for sculpting and an iridescent shade for highlighting.

Coral Dahlia and Rose Petal are the two new Joli Rouge Brilliant Sheer Shine Lipstick (£19) shades – lovely, fresh, floral shades. But my favourite in the collection is the new Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector (£18) which comes in six shades which illuminate the lips with sheer colour.

The lip balm is rich in active plant ingredients, with nourishing mango and shea, as well as vitamin E. There’s also a natural peptide in there to help encourage the synthesis of hyaluronic acid, to help with hydration and to give lips a fuller appearance. In the My Pink shade, the sensitive pigments react with the pH level of your lips, producing a bespoke pink colour, just for you. The other shades are Rose, Orange, Coral, Red and Rosewood.

Oh, and last but not least, a lovely Intense Green shade of Clarins Crayon Khol Eye Pancil (£17) which you can use to define the eye, or to add sfter lines, or to use to highlight inside the waterline, without irritating. It also has a natural hair brush applicatior at the end to help belnd the colour effortlessly.

The Clarins Garden Escape Spring Makeup Collection is on counter at Clarins and at Clarins.co.uk from January 12.
