Beauty Bargain of the Week - Yardley Soap

2 min read

We can all spend a fortune on beauty products, but we don’t need to. Every week, I’m going to bring you my ‘Beauty Bargain of the Week‘  – a product I’ve used, and would recommend, and that, on most occasions, costs less than a fiver! What’s not to like!

So, tomorrow is Global Handwashing Day in case you didn’t know! Apparently, according to a BBC News story today, one in six mobile phones is contaminated with, well, unmentionable! (Go to the link and read the story). Not washing your hands after going to the toilet is, sadly, much more common than we think – and how utterly vile?!

Washing your hands is essential, and should also be a pleasure, especially if you buy some gorgeous soap. Never mind the liquid stuff, get yourself a bar of beautiful retro Yardley London soap and you will never tire of washing your hands! I LOVE soap – I have a huge collection in the bathroom cupboard and most of it from old -school brands like Yardley.

They do a brilliant Soap in a Tin (above) for just £4.99, and the tin can be used as a soap dish home and away. It comes in four fragrances – English Lavender, Lily of the Valley, English Rose and April Violets.

Coming in at £7.99, so just above my Beauty Bargain threshold, but worth it, is their Luxury Soap pack of three  x 100g bars (below), which comes in the same fragrances as the Soap in a Tin, but also a new scent – Royal English Daisy, which is fresh and beautiful.

Yardley’s soaps are triple-milled, which means they are processed three times to reduce excess water, making the soap very hard, but long-lasting with a rich, luxurious creamy lather.

Why on earth would you not want to wash your hands with this at the sink?!

Yardley London is available at Boots, Lloyds and independent chemists nationwide
