Diego Dalla Palma Summer 2018 Cruise Collection

Italian beauty brand Diego Dalla Palma is always worth a look. The brand, from Italy's fashion capital, Milan, is stocked in Marks and Spencer Beauty here in the UK. Launched in Milan in 1970, it has a wonderfully retro feel to it, and is much more than just makeup - with skincare and haircare in the diego dalla palma group. And there is an actual Diego Dalla Palma  too  - the Italian makeup artist behind the brand. Every year they launch a … [Read more...]

Follow the Sun with Bobbi Brown

This Bobbi Brown collection has been on counters for a month or so now, but it's still worth flagging up to you, because it's lovely, full of new products, and I have my mind on sunnier climes at the moment! Not that I am planning on going to Antigua, Maui, or Santa Barbara any time soon - those three destinations are the inspiration behind the collection. The hero product is the Limited Edition Illuminating Bronzing Powder (£30) in those … [Read more...]

Benefit’s new Hoola family additions

Benefit have added two new products to their best-selling Hoola family this month - the Hoola Quickie Contour Stick, and Hoola Lite. The Hoola bronzer is the UK's best-selling bronzer, and this new Hoola Lite is just a lighter version of it. It's still a bronzer, ir's still matte, and it's in the same packaging, with the same brush. But if you are very fair, or just want a lighter bronzer, you now have a choice.   The … [Read more...]

Tom Ford Soleil 2017

Okay, this is the new Tom Ford Soleil 2017 Makeup collection - as much as I know about it. I wasn't actually shown the lip balms, or even told about their existence, so I have no info on those, or price info. And apparently there is a mini Paradiso collection also available, according to the blogosphere. "Inspired by shades reflecting contrast between sun-kissed and sunset", let me first deal with those mystery lip colours. When I instagrammed … [Read more...]

Peachy Keen Too Faced Collection

Too Faced's Sweet as Peach collection is cute - and if you like scented cosmetics, then it's definitely for you. I find the scent a little bit cloying, but I adore the packaging. The Creamy Lip Oil Lip Gloss (£16) comes in eight shades, with fab names like Papa Don't Peach. I love that one. I've tried Peach Tease, Peach, Please! and Peach Fuzz. If it's bold colour you want, these are not for you, but they are really hydrating and creamy, and … [Read more...]

Madame La La Bronzing Ball

I do love a multi-tasking beauty product, so I've been enjoying giving myself a bit of a winter glow with this fab Madame LA LA Bronzing Ball. Madame LA LA are an indie British beauty brand, inspired by LA. This is no ordinary bronzer either. As well as being in a half sphere, so you can just apply directly, this bronzer has all sorts of skincare benefits, thanks to Coco water, Caffeine, and Bee venom. It's good for lips, cheeks and eyes, … [Read more...]

Benefit Hoola’s New Family!

Benefit's Hoola Bronzing Powder has been the best-selling bronzer in the UK for the last seven years. So, it's no surprise they've decided to add to the Hoola family, with three fab new products. At the end of the month, Benefit launch Hoola Zero Tanlines, Hoola Dew the Hoola, and a Hoola Bronzing & Contouring Brush. The Zero Tanlines is hands-down my favourite, I love it. I am not a fake tan fan, but I do love a wash-off instant tan, … [Read more...]

All the fake tans!

Okay, that's not strictly true, of course, because there are loads of fake tans out there. We all know the salon brands, St Tropez and Fake Bake, of course. They have great reputations and there is a reason for their popularity. But what about other fake tans out there - and all  the different formulas and formats! Creams, lotions, mousses, liquids, sprays. Wash off, gradual, one-hour, regular, face, body. It's a massive market - we all love to … [Read more...]

A Stila Summer…

Oh joy, the rain's back! Just in time for the weekend! You'll need to get your sunshine elsewhere this weekend, so how about with the beautiful new summer collection from Stila. I missed this brand when they disappeared for a while. Their products are lovely, good quality and innovative. This sunny collection has a brilliant product at the heart of it, called One Step Illuminate (£24). It's a serum which instantly illuminates, primes and … [Read more...]
