Support Earth Month with Aveda

April is Earth Month, and you can support it by getting hold of one of these lovely Aveda Light the Way Candles. Hair like Mad Men’s Betty Draper? Here’s how!

January Jones - best known as Betty Draper in Mad Men - has fabulous hair. The beautiful blonde returns to our screens tomorrow night on Sky Atlantic, as the penultimate series of the 1960s drama set in an advertising agency begins. This picture of January, with a big 1960s-style do, however, is not from the show, but one of her off-duty pics - and we kind of like it! We can't wait to see what looks she's rocking during the new Mad Men … [Read more...]

Bobbi Brown’s new Longwear Even Finish Compact Foundation

Bobbi Brown have just launched a new Long-Wear Even Finish Compact Foundation. These 'quick-fix' foundations are becoming more and more popular again, I've noticed, with women wanting something they can easily apply, wherever they are. This new foundation is, as Bobbi says, 'designed to disappear' - what she means is, it's perfectly matched to skin tone and texture, will never look fake or cakey, just smooth and natural. I've had a play with … [Read more...]

We can all spend a fortune on beauty products, but we don’t need to. No7 Lift & Luminate Dark Spot Corrector

I was interested to try out the new No7 Lift & Luminate Dark Spot Corrector, which launched last month.  I wasn't actually asked to trial it, as I am still too young (hooray!) for the target age group for this product, which is 45+. However, having suffered with pigmentation on my face for years, I wanted to give it a go in a specific trial. I'm off on holiday in a few weeks, and whenever my face is exposed to the sun, pigmentation issues … [Read more...]

Stila’s Summer Festival of Colour Collection

One thing attracted me to this Stila Festival of Colour Collection, and it wasn't the bright, bold colour. It was the After Glow Lip Colour (£12). I have yet to try them out, but, Stila promise that, thanks to black-light responsive florescent pigments, these lippies will, literally, glow in the dark! How fab is that?! The pigments are three times brighter than conventional colours ensuring vibrancy under the sun, and a glo-stick effect under UV … [Read more...]
