Clinique launch Age Transformer Dual Moisturiser
You can always rely on Clinique to baffle with science when a new product launches. This one has a double-sided A4 press release to go with it, and I have to admit, it’s quite dry reading.
So, let me try to simplify it for you – and myself! The Clinique Smart Clinical MD Multi-Dimensional Age Transformer Duo: Resculpt & Revolumize is a brand new moisturiser, with basically two parts to it.
The Resculpting part visibly lifts, contours and firms, and the Revolumize part plumps and retexturizes.
The Resculpting utilises three key ingredients to help with the lifting and contouring that can come the more you age. Soybean Seed Extract is rich in Lysophosphaditic Acid (LPA) – this naturally derived extract helps skin achieve a tightening and lifting effect. Sweet Almond Seed Extract works at the skin’s surface to form a film that allows an immediate blurring effect of fine lines and wrinkles. Whey Protein is rich in amino acids, it helps increase skin’s natural collagen, leaving it looking and feeling firmer and more resilient.
The Revolumizing helps plump and retexturise instantly and continuously, thanks to another three key ingredients. Hyaluronic Acid – the beauty wonder ingredient. Hydration is the key to healthy, youthful skin. This effective humectant has skin-plumping effects—it can attract up to 1,000 times its weight in water. Soybean Protein is a plant-derived ingredient that helps provide a support system to plump up the skin, filling in lines. Yeast Extract helps skin hold onto moisture, providing a smoothing effect that minimizes roughness and plumps up wrinkles.
Both formulas also combat lines and wrinkles and address uneven skin and dullness. The science jargon on the press release is nigh on impossible to make head nor tail of, so I will just simplify it as much as I can.
For the lines and wrinkles, two anti-ageing peptides are working away to combat them. Acetyl-Hexapeptide-8, also known as Argireline, is a bio-peptide that works to boost natural collagen production to build skin up, starting from the base of a wrinkle.
