Filorga Global Repair
I wrote a feature for the Daily Record last week on Gen X skincare – skincare for women in the 40-55 age group, something that is largely overlooked.

Filorga is an Italian skincare brand that I really like. It’s a very clinical brand, with great results.
The innovative Global Repair range treats all signs of ageing with an all-new core formula, providing visible results after just seven days.
This complex combines the best cosmetic nutrients with ultra-specialised ingredients to mimic the effects of aesthetic medicine for spectacular rejuvenating action. A lot of the Filorga products are perfect for those who don’t want to indulge in any non-invasive procedures like Botox, or fillers.
There are three super-nutrients, sourced from the best vegetable oils and scientific discoveries in this range, to restore skin’s suppleness and vitality:
- Super-ceramides – identical to the ones found in the skin and compensate for the reduction in physiological ceramides. These bind to the lipids in the epidermis to restore the skin’s barrier function.
- Super-omegas – found in evening primrose oil, which is rich in omega-6, and jojoba oil, which is rich in omega-3 and 9, these fatty acids strengthen the hydrolipidic film, boost cell renewal and revitalise the skin.
- Super-vitamins – a super cocktail based on camellia oil rich in vitamin E and borage oil rich in vitamins A, D and K to boost skin defences and regenerate the skin.
The products are made up of a combination of the best leading active ingredients inspired by the five most renowned aesthetic medicine techniques to act on all the signs of ageing, including radiance, wrinkles, firmness, dark spots and volume.
There are two products, best used in tandem.
Step 1 is the GLOBAL-REPAIR INTENSIVE THE INTENSIVE ACTION SERUM. This contains Retinol, one of the most powerful anti-ageing active ingredients, which radically boosts cell renewal and the synthesis of elastic fibres. Glycogen is a source of cellular energy in an innovative botanical form and will stimulate fibroblast activity and their production of hyaluronic acid and collagen.
Use it in the daytime by applying a thin layer before your cream for an instant smoothing effect. In the evening, use it as a sleeping mask: mix a thick layer in with your cream for enhanced effectiveness. Be careful in the sun after using Retinol products.
Step 2 is the GLOBAL-REPAIR MULTI-ACTIVE CREAM FOR LASTING RESULTS
This cream incorporates a unique long-term anti-ageing system – a powerful regenerating amino acid, which repairs glycated proteins in the dermis, is combined with essential minerals (manganese, zinc and iron) with powerful detoxifying and antioxidant properties to strengthen the skin and halt skin ageing.
In the mornings, apply a thin layer of its ultra-comfortable melting texture for a supreme anti-ageing effect. In the evening, use a thick layer as a sleeping mask for a spectacular rejuvenating effect in the morning.
