Fringe Benefits with 5pm
Forget the crowds, the flyers, and the sore feet at the Edinburgh Fringe, which is in full flow now – the only fringe I am interested in is one of the hair variety! I’m currently sporting my hair in a curly style – see this previous post – complete with a curly fringe.
Fringes come and go from year to year – they’re hard to handle in the heat, but they can also give you mega cool points – look at Debbie Harry and Florence Welch for example? They have rocked those fringes over the years.
And surely there is no more iconic fringe in the UK than that of Strictly host, Claudia Winkleman?
One of my favourite fringes was on supermodel Freja Beha Erichsen – she’s grown it out now, but her shaggy cut was coolness personified.
If you fancy a fringe, then book yourself a deal with one of the top hairdressing talents on 5pm Spa and Beauty. Let’s start at Kroma in Glasgow where they can create some fantastic colours, with some sharp fringes. Short hair can have a fringe too – we love this side-swept look created at James Dun’s House in Glasgow. How about a Betty Page style, short 1950s style? This is a bold choice, but we think it looks great, done here at Urban Hair Care in Glasgow’s Hillhead. It’s just £25 for first time customers through 5pm for a Wash, Cut, Style & Finish. Take advantage and try a new salon, and a new look.
Finally, it’s long and side-swept, but it’s still a fringe! We love it. It’s by Morgan Flynn Hair within Alchemy Creative Collection in Glasgow’s city centre, and the 5pm deal available is £28.50 for a Cut & Blow Dry, Tuesday to Saturday.
