Clarins NEW Everlasting Youth Fluid Fundation SP15

Everlasting youth. If only, right? Of course, it’s an impossibility, but with this new Clarins foundation, you can at least try to recapture some of the youthful radiance your skin might have lost.

The new Everlasting Youth Fluid Foundation SPF15 is a base with smoothing and firming skincare action in it. It’s creamy and lightweight, thanks to konjac micro-pearls, nourishing argan oi,, and skin-tightening organic oat sugars, which will all help to leave skin fuller, firmer and more luminous. Skin naturally reflects light, therefore the smoother the surface, the more radiant the skin is. The remaining light, say Clarins, is diffused inside the skin and then returns to the surface, and this is luminosity. Collagen fibres in the skin play a major role in the luminosity. So, the denser the collagen network, the more vibrant the skin’s luminosity.

That’s the Clarins science, I don’t know how real it is, but Clarins Laboratories have discovered that at age 50, the skin has lost 34 per cent of its capacity to diffuse light – and then along come the wrinkles, as those collagen fibres lose their density.

So, according to Clarins, Chicory and red Jania extract are the two ingredients that will smooth and firm the skin. The chicory will boost collagen synthesis, and the red Jania extract will improve the reflection of light on the surface by encouraging the removal of dead cells, through a process called keratolyic exfoliation.

The plant-enriched formula has been boosted by a Skin Tone Optimising Complex, which combats the loss of natural radiance with age, thanks to a combination of pigments, pink pearls and soft-focus powders. These blend to help prevent dullness, and even skin tone, adding radiance, and blurring those dark spots and imperfections.

There’s also Clarins Anti-Pollution Complex in there, which combines extracts of organic nipplewort, organic white horehound and furcellaria to help protect skin from environmental aggressors, as well as SPF15 UVA and UVB protection.

The new foundation comes in eco-responsible packaging, and you will find 24 shades of it across the skin tone spectrum, from 000 Lily to 118.5 Chocolate.

This lovely new Clarins foundation really does add radiance. I loved using it. It’s not too heavy on coverage, glides on, and really does add luminosity to the skin.
