NEW Jo Malone London Myrrh & Tonka products

Back in January 2017, Jo Malone London launched Myrrh & Tonka as its latest Cologne Intense. The rich, heady, fragrance was an instant hit, and has remained a favourite.

This is what the Master Perfumer who created it had to say about it at the time.

There is an atmosphere of addiction and carnal richness to this fragrance which appeals to both men and women. At the top there is a hint of lavender and a floral note, creating a comforting and voluptuous opening. The big, rich heart, and base note of myrrh is sensual, and the tonka brings generosity. So, fans will be delighted to know there are now two new ways to enjoy this scent – in the form of a body cream and a candle.

When I reviewed this fragrance two years ago, I loved it. Because it’s a Cologne Intense, it lasts much longer tha nthe ordinary colognes, and it is a rich and very more-ish scent. The top note is lavender, the heart is Omumbiri musk, and the dry down is tonka. At the time it reminded me of Tom Ford scents, and insiders told me that Tom Ford fans loved it!

So, I was thrilled to get my hands on one of the new Home Candles – I’m having a real candle moment since our flat renovations  – we finally have some space for them to burn in!

I’m not a big body cream fan, but if you are, then this is perfect for layering up your scent, and giving it more of an intensity.
