Clinique has this habit of launching new products with impossibly long names. Here’s another one that has recently hit counters – Fresh Pressed Clinical Daily + Overnight Boosters with Pure Vitamin C 10% and Vitamin A (Retinol).
See – long name. Basically this is Clinique’s take on hot beauty ingredients Vitamins C and A.
Here’s more from Clinique’s Dermatologist on both ingredients, if you aren’t that familiar with them.
Topical Vitamins C and A are both potent de-agers – used together day and night, they deliver synergistic benefits that help dramatically reduce lines and wrinkles. Application of Vitamin C each morning works immediately on skin’s surface to pomoote a brighter, more even tone and smoother texture. At night, Vitain A – retinol – boosts natural collagen production in skin’s deeper layers. Over time, it works to diminish lines and wrinkles and restore youthful contour. Together, they’re a very effective team to address all major signs of ageing. – Dr David Orentreich, Clinique Guiding Dermatologist.
So, we know what they are, but what is this system and how does it work. It’s a system featuring two boosters – one for daytime with Fresh Vitamin C 10% (Ascorbic Acid 10%), and one for nighttime with Fresh Vitamin A (Retinol) – which work together to deliver great results in reducing the look of lines and wrinkles after 12 weeks of use.
Basiclaly, you add therse to moisuriser to boost it. Both these beauty big boys naturally degrade over time, so they are most popwerful when fresh. So, to ensure maximum freshness and potency, the Vitamin C 10% powder is protected in a sealed chamber within a lightproof vial, and the pure liquid Vitain A (Retinol) is protected in a double-walled chamber. They are only released into the De-Ageing Soothing Emulsion for mixing when first activated.
Be careful with Retinol, and make sure you use an SPF the day after.
