Chanel Hand Cream and a Manicure maybe?

2 min read

It’s Friday, time to treat yourself! Chanel launched a new handcream last week, and what’s more pampering and luxurious than applying a sumptuous cream to your hands?

Watch any old movie, and they’re all at it, sitting at their dressing tables before bed, applying hand cream. It’s a habit we want to get in to! And in the winter, it’s a habit we all need to do more of to avoid uncomfortable dry hands.

If you fancy the Chanel cream it’s La Creme Main Texture Riche, and it’s a rich and velvety balm inspired by the handcream Coco Chanel created way back in 1927.  And the ingredients are luxurious.

May rose floral wax, from flowers grown in Chanel fields in Grasse, softens the skin by forming a protective moisture-retaining barrier, while Iris pallida extract delivers brightening action. Enriched with shea butter and glycerin, it intensely nourishes the hands and leaves them velvet-soft, with a discreet hint of floral perfume.

It comes in  this gorgeous pebble shaped packaging, and fits in the palm of your hand. £45 for 50ml, chanel.com

If you fancy giving your hands even more of a treat in preparation for winter, then book in for a manicure at one of the 5pm Spa and Beauty salons.

At the Village Spa at the Village Hotel in Glasgow treat yourself to a Deluxe Manicure for £35 – you can go all week and your hands will be pampered and polished for 55 minutes.

At Soul Space in Glasgow’s West End, treat yourself to the Perfect 10 Manicure. Available all week for £25 with polish, or £30 with gel polish, we admit the best part of this might not be the mini manicure – but there’s a scalp massage and a glass of fizz included – what’s not to love about that?

I Love Nails in Finnieston is the place to go for nails in Glasgow, and they have a gorgeous luxury manicure available Monday to Saturday for £20. Add Shellac polish and it’s £28.

The Luxury Manicure includes soak, file and nails shaped, cuticle work, hand scrub, hand mask, hand massage and then the application of polish.
