The Big Deal from Paul Allan Hair & Beauty is for microdermabrasion plus a soothing mask treatment following it. The gentle maask soothes after the exfoliation, but there isn’t any pain at all. Both treatments will last around 45 minutes.

It’s a day at the Aura Health Spa in the Bowfield Hotel and Country Club in Renfrewshire, only a 20 minute drive from Glasgow. And it’s just £32 for two people.
On arrival, you will both be given complimentary robes, slippers and towels, and then you might want to start your escape day by drifiting around the 16-metre pool, before enjoying some Jacuzzi time. There’s also a steam room and a sauna, and the sauna has big windows with beautiful countryside views.
Once refreshed under the monsoon showers, it’s time for your afternoon tea. You’ll both get a glass of bubbly, tea or coffee, sandwiches and freshly baked scones. If you do fancy using the lesuire club, they have Star Trac Equipment and a Spin Studio for a bit of a fitness burst.

Options 5 and 6: The Moness Moments package, from £89, – lasting 90 minutes, for one or two people – is the ultimate spa day with a choice of three beauty treatments. You also get Prosecco with lunch on this option.
And you choose from these treatment options:
Polynesia back treatment – your back will be gently exfoliated with Polynesia sacred oil from the island of Raiatea, then an Exotic Island body scrub will leave your skin smooth supple and soft. Next, a Mahan massage oil will be rubbed into your skin for an incredibly relaxing massage using specialised Hawaiian techniques.
Thalgo marine facial – this Facial Ritual will begin with a signature Heart of the Ocean Massage. Your skin will be gently cleansed and exfoliated, followed by a moisturising mask for intense and lasting hydration. To finish, a Hydra Marine 24-hour Gel Cream will be applied.
Indian head massage – this massage increases nourishment and oxygen to the scalp and hair follicles, which stimulates hair growth. Indian Head Massage also stimulates lymphatic drainage and blood flow to the neck, helping to remove waste products from the body.
Reflexology – This is an ancient therapy which uses the feet, hands or face as maps of the body’s organs. By working on the reflex points, the body’s own self-healing powers are stimulated.
