Benefit say Hello Happy with new foundation
The first thing I thought when I saw the new Benefit Hello Happy foundation was how non-Benefit it looked! The shape of the bottle reminds me of Clinique’s packaging on some of their bases, although it’s a little less rounded.
And obviously there isn’t a cute happy face on the Clinique bottles! The new base is a Soft Blur Foundation, with light to medium coverage and an SPF15 PA+++.
The idea, Benefit say, is that it looks like skin and feels like nothing at all. So, if you are a fan of heavy makeup and contouring, this is not for you.
It is one for me though, as I love a lighter base in the summer, and the shade I have – 2 – is perfect for summer skin, when even my peely-wally white turns a wee bit less, well, translucent.
It contains optical blurring spheres, apparently, to softly diffuse light to create a blurred effect. It’s basically another ‘insta filter in a bottle’ product, right?
