Paul Mitchell NEW Neuro hair range

Are you a heated hair tool addict? Join the club! I love nothing more than wanding and straightening my hair. It can be a little friend, thanks to that and the fact it’s over-processed and dyed.

So I was delighted to give Paul Mitchell’s new NEURO Liquid range a try. I’ve been using it for a couple of months now, and the products I have tried are excellent. The products are formulated with HeatCTRL technology – a blend of proteins and silicones that activates with hear to help protect against damage caused by daily styling, blow-drying, and smoothing.

It’s all vegan-friendly as well, which is good to know, and of course, never, ever tested on animals.

I’ve tried the Blow Out Primer (£8.95, 25ml; £25.95, 139ml) and I love it. Apply to damp hair after washing, and blow dry and you really will notice the difference – it works brilliantly at protecting the hair, and delivers a glossy shine.

Once hair is dry, follow with the Iron Hairspray (£9.95, 50ml; £21.95, 205ml) – this really lightweight hairspray protects from your styling tools – in my case my wand and irons – and helps resist humidity and block out frizz.

I’ve also tried the Repair Treatment (£24.95, 150ml). I’ve been trying to use treatments more – my hairdressers old and new would be proud! It really does make a difference. You can use this for 3-5 minutes and rinse out, or for 10 minutes for more hydration. Then rinse.

There are four other products in the range that I have yet to try. The Shampoo and Conditioner (272ml, £19.95 and £20.95 respectively) are colour-safe and suitable for all hair types.

And there are two styling products. The Volume Foam (£9.95, 45ml; £22.95, 200ml) volumises and provides lift and fullness whilst blow-drying, and also defines curls and waves.

The Style Spray (£18.95, 200ml) has strong styling agents to secure styles for longer, and it also provides thermal protection during styling.

The Paul Mitchell Neuro range launches in May, and is available from stockists, and paul-mitchell.co.uk
