Diego Dalla Palma Summer 2018 Cruise Collection
Italian beauty brand Diego Dalla Palma is always worth a look. The brand, from Italy’s fashion capital, Milan, is stocked in Marks and Spencer Beauty here in the UK.
Launched in Milan in 1970, it has a wonderfully retro feel to it, and is much more than just makeup – with skincare and haircare in the diego dalla palma group. And there is an actual Diego Dalla Palma too – the Italian makeup artist behind the brand.
Every year they launch a Cruise Collection, and this year it’s all about beautiful jewel colours, inspired by elegant, precious stones.
The Metal Obsession Eyeshadow Palette (£24.50) is a must have of metallic shades. The palette of four compact powder eyeshadows in warm and sparkling shades that are ideal for a complete look, day to night. Fine pearls are merged with pigments to create a modern texture that give a velvety and creamy touch. The colours are rich and beautiful for summer, and who doesn’t love a metallic eye?
The Duo Bronzer & BlushLight (£29) is one product for luminosity and definition. A practical, compact palette includes a bronzer and blush in compact powder, a perfect duo with a luminous finish to sculpt and highlight the volumes of the face. The bronzer has a creamy and light touch that will warm and underline the contours of the face. The blush has weightless texture that is enriched with satin-smooth pearls, giving the complexion an evanescent translucence. It comes in light to medium, and medium to dark.
The Glow Up Stick Highlighter (£19.50) is a cream highlighter with a luminous glow in a practical stick format. The creamy texture has a powdery finish which melts perfectly into the skin. I love this type of product – so easy to apply and blend in with brush or fingertips. Apply it on strategic points of the face to naturally capture the light. It’s a warm golden sand colour.
The collection also includes Nail Varnishes (£10) in shades of Metal Copper and Metal Reddish-Purple for a complete shiny and metallic look, as well as a Golden Brown Eyeliner (£12) which is soft and creamy and will intensify your eye makeup. There is a Metal Geisha Liquid Lipstick (£15.50) to complete the look – an on-trend matte, but with a metallic finish. It comes in two shades.
