Catwalk inspired beauty deals

Beauty trends come from the catwalk, and last September, fashion week makeup artists and hair stylists created all the beauty  – and hair  – trends you’ll be wanting to wear now for the SS18 shows.

So, if you want to get ahead of the crowd, here are a few of our favourite – and where to book in for offers to maybe recreate your favourite look.

Forget wings and flicks, the latest eyeliner trend is bigger, thicker, and a bit more rounded – like a thumbprint, as seen on the models at the Tom Ford SS18 show.Eyeliner is a tricky thing – if you are struggling then take a lesson from a professional. Carol Fairfield Freelance Makeup Artist will give you a makeover using MAC makeup for £30 – see the 5pm site for details of her offer.

Bold red lips are a huge trend for this Spring/Summer. Check out the gorgeous red lip on Bella Hadid at MaxMara. Its not the easiest colour to wear, but you shouldn’t be afraid of it. Book in for makeup at Mitchell and MacInnes in Glasgow’s city centre, and learn how to rock the red lip.

This friendly and professional studio is expertly run by Rhona Mitchell and Sarah Jane Macinnes, a pair of fully qualified, professional makeup artists who benefit from over 10 years experience in the industry. They do makeup for all occasions, and use proiducts from brands like Bobbi Brown, MAC, Nars, Chanel, Laura Mercier, Giorgio Armani and Tom Ford.

Booking through the 5pm site, you can get a Full face Makeup Application with Lashes, Monday to Friday for £35.

Although nail art is making a bit of a comeback this season, cherry red nails are the nails to be seen with, as seen here at Giorgio Armani. Try I Love Nails in Glasgow’s Finnieston, where £18 will get you a gorgeous Shellac manicure.

At Les Copains, fingerwaves were the most beautiful hair trend – and not that easy to do, Ask before you head in to the salon to see if someone will be able to recreate this retro style.

Erdem showed beautiful low-slung ponytails – clock through the instagram posts to see.  Yes, maybe you could recreate this one yourself, but it’s always nice to book in for a blow dry, particularly for an occasion, agreed?

We love the 80s-inspired pineapple ponytail full of curls, at the Calvin Luo SS18 show. All fantastic curls, then pinned up on top of the head and finished with a bow.
