Ease the strain with a massage deal

2 min read

Running the London Marathon this Sunday? No, me neither. But, I do run (jog) from time to time, and I did once complete a 10 mile race. Because of that I know that massage and relaxation definitely helps with the pain of running!

Until our house renovation is done this summer, I don’t even have a bath I can relax in after pounding the pavements. So I am storing up my bottle of Olverum Bath Oil (£29 125ml, £53 250ml, Harvey Nicholsfor then. Containing 10 pure essential oils, this lovely bath oil will relive stress and ease aching and sore muscles. It contains eucalyptus, lavender, juniper, lavandin, lemon peel, siberian fir needle, exotic verbena, lime, geranium, and rosemary.

But when soaking in a bath, even with a gorgeous oil, just isn’t enough, time to indulge in a massage. Yes, sports massages are great, but they never feel quite as indulgent as visiting a spa or a beauty salon and just relaxing.

And there are lots of deals on 5pm that will ease any aching muscles or pain. Or you could just for a 30 minute express full body massage at TLC Nails + Beauty in Glasgow. It’s just £25  and is bound to have you feeling fresh again.

At Angel Loving Care in Broxburn, you could get a lot more relaxed with their Luxury Hot Stone Pampering Ritual which costs £75. It’s a two-hour treatment, which includes a decadent full body massage, back scrub and scalp massage with hot aromatic scented oils of your choice, combined with a customised aroma-hot stone therapy facial which uses vegan-friendly, custom made Earthworks products designed to infuse the skin with moisture and vitality.

Swedish massage is amazing, agreed? So, what better way than to help those aching muscles than with a 90-minute massage which will set you back just £50 at Awakening Senses salon in Glasgow.

And spare a thought for those poor feet – locked up in those trainers, pounding the streets and parks. They need some care too. At Athena Therapies in Glasgow, indulge yourself in a 30-minute Thai Foot Massage for just £20.

And then it’s time to get back out running again!
