Clarins added a couple of new products to its Hydra-Essentiel range last month – the Moisturising Reviving Eye Mask, and the Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm.
I love the Hydra range from Clarins – it works brilliantly on my dry skin. The range was recently rebooted, and now Clarins is adding more to it. I’m not going to lie – lip balm and eye mask are not my priorities.
However, as far as lip balms go, this Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm (£19.50) is great. The unique combination of a new generation wax and key moisturising ingredients make this a beautifully rich and soft balm. The comfort comes from Blue lotus wax. A fine protective film obtained from the surface of the flower’s petals adds a nourishing film to the lips.
Cocoa extract stimulates the production of hyaluronic acid and improves the overall hydration of your lips. This lovely lip balm has subtle fruity notes, and it’s slightly glossy texture boosts your own lips’ beautiful rosy glow.
An eye mask is not something you use everyday, but isn’t it lovely to treat those tired eyes sometimes? The Moisture Reviving Eye Mask (£29) looks like a cream, and feels like a gel. You can use it day or night, leaving it on if you want as an overnight treatment, or using it as a 10 minute express radiant boost.
It contains extracts of organic leaf of life and quinoa which act together to help skin restore its moisture reserves. It also contains horse chestnut escin to help reduce the look of dark cirles and Irish moss extract to comfort and soothe.
Both products are available now at Clarins counters and clarins.co.uk
