Clinique's new Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator

1 min read

As far as beauty products names go, this one from Clinique must be the longest yet! The new Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator has just launched, and I think to save us all we should ust call it their new 72-Hour cream!

This new addition to the popular Moisture Surge line (of which I am a big fan, but WHY OH WHY can’t they bring back the sheet masks?! They were ahead of their time with those!) uses something Clinique are calling Auto-Replenishing Technology to deliver an unprecedented 72 hours of continuous moisture, even after washing your face.

Clinique’s claims and advice on this new moisturiser are:

  • Infuses an instant surge of water into the skin for an instant moisture boost of 152% in a rereshing gel-cream texture
  • Hyaluronic acid holds 1000x its weight in water, while Activated Aloe Water and Caffeine help skin to create its own internal water source, allowing skin to endlessly rehydrate itself
  • Can be used as a twice daily moisturiser under or over makeup,  as well on dry areas such as cuticles, dry ends of hair, or elbows. Or as a five-minute mask.

The last point is interesting, right? I am definitely going to dry this as I do have dry elbows, and my hair is bleached, so go figure on that one. This just landed on my desk, so it’s impossible for me to say whether the claims are upheld, but I’m going to give it a trial for a week or so.

Clinique Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator, £36, Clinique counters, and clinique.co.uk, available now.
