Origins Original Skin additions

Origins added three new products to its Original Skin range this month – a primer, a cleanser, and a matte moisturiser. Aimed at skin 25+, the range first launched with a serum back in 2015

Since then, there’s been a Face Mask and an Essence Lotion (like a toner) – and now these three new products have been added to the line this year – Cleansing Jelly, Cooling Primer, and Matte Moisturizer.

The Moisturizer (£27) is all about minimising pores, and is formulated with Pink Rock Rose and Willowherb – the key ingredient in this range, to  helpboost glow, refine texture, even tone as well as minimise those pores.

The Cooling Primer (£27) is the first primer from Origins, and transforms from an airy, foaming mousse to a perfecting primer with a hint of tint, for prepping skin so that makeup glides on easily and looks fresh. It also contains glow-boosting Canadian Willowherb,  and the innovative cooling effect is possible thanks to a complex of ingredients that include cold water algae; a powerhouse of the sea.

Laminaria, plentiful in cold water oceans, has powerful anti-inflammatory properties that aid in soothing skin, so that skin remains looking calm and healthy. Canadian Willowherb, found in Northern Canadian prairies, is the first plant to blossom after a forest fire. It can help make skin appear less dull and sallow, to brighten and restore skin’s clarity and ideal glow. When you apply you will experience an initial cooling sensation.

The Cleansing Jelly (£19.50) also contains Canadian Willowherb, paired with Sunflower Oil to make  pore clogging makeup, dirt, and excess oil history. Massage it gently into dry skin to loosen and release dirt and makeup, then add water and watch the lightweight jelly transform into a silky cleansing milk. Then you can rinse it all off, and you can use a cotton pad to get to stubborn makeup – I’d recommend this on the eyes.  The cleanser won’t dry or strip the skin.
