CLINIQUE PEP-START DOUBLE BUBBLE PURIFYING MASK, £24

Face Mask Friday - Clinique Pep-Start Double Bubble

First up is Clinique’s latest addition to the Pep-Start line, the new Pep-Start Double Bubble Purifying Mask. The Clinique Pep-Start range is aimed at younger skins, and it’s all about brightening, lifting, and illuminating. The products all come in fabulously bright packaging – orange, pink, yellow, etc, and this mask in a brilliantly bright lime green tube.

It is hard to be innovative with a face mask these days, as there are so many on the market, for all sorts of skin types.

But this Clinique mask is a wee bit different – within minutes of application, the unique formula begins to transform from a pink gel to little white bubbles which lift the ‘debris’ off your skin. It’s magical!

It’s a cleansing gel mask, leaving skin deeply cleansed and prepped for makeup. The energising, bubbling sensation, along with exfoliating ingredients work to lift away any surface oil and dirt in just a couple of minutes.

It’s nice to use, as a quick skin refresher, but it’s not a mask for luxuriating in the bath with. I like the bubbling effect – i’m always impressed by anything different in beauty, because there is so much of the same.

It is £24, so not the cheapest face mask by any means, but if you like Clinique, and you like the Pep Start range, then give this a go.

One thing I don’t love is the lack of smell, but I have that issue with all Clinique products, so nothing new there!
