Eve Lom launches NEW Gel Balm Cleanser

I’m going to make a bold statement  – Eve Lom is the Queen of Cleansing. Liz Earle may be next in line, but Eve Lom has this throne, and her latest launch looks set to secure her position on it.

I, however, am not an Eve Lom cleanser user. I’ve used it in the past, but I prefer Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish if the truth be told, and I flit from balms, to wipes, to lotions and back again.

But, Eve Lom Cleanser was genuinely the first of its kind, and has been around for 30 years! Loved by the beauty industry and A-list celebs, it’s not too much of a stretch to say that Eve Lom and her original cleanser and cloth played a major part in the cleansing revolution of the last decade or so.

The original cleanser is an intensive beauty moment – you need to apply it, massage it in, then remove it with her muslin cloths, which must be warm. For some, it’s too labour intensive, and that’s where the new Eve Lom Gel Balm Cleanser comes in.

Massage it onto wet skin, it transforms from a gel balm to a sooth creamy milky cleaner that rinses off easily. Don’t think because it is gel it is drying. I had that fear, but it leaves skin soft and smooth, thanks to ingredients like shea butter and grapeseed oil.

It smells strong, thanks to Eve Lom’s signature blend of clove, eucalyptus, hops and chamomile oils, and I have to admit I find it a wee bit too strong, because I don’t love these scents. But it does take all your makeup off, including waterproof mascara, so it is here with me on holiday!

No cloth required, it’s a great on-the-go cleanser. Other ingredients include Plant-derived Lecithin which contains fatty acids to condition the sin and support the skin’s barrier function, an innovative enzyme blend to gently and effectively lift your makeup off, without stripping the skin, and spent grain wax, argan and olive oil to soothe and nourish.
