NEW bareMinerals Bare Pro Foundation

Bare Minerals launched a new foundation last week – the BAREPRO Performance Wear Liquid Foundation SPF20.

I’ve had quite a few new foundations to try of late, and I’ve been using this one for around a month. I like it. But it’s maybe just a little bit too full coverage for me. It has a natural matte finish, which I do like, as opposed to anything overly dewy.

New bareMinerals BAREPRO Foundation

bareMinerals suggest you will look and feel like you are wearing nothing on your skin, but I’m not sure if that really is the case.

So, what’s in it? Well, it has the bareMinerals Mineral Lock formula which provides the 24 hours of coverage. This long-wear technology mimics the natural lipids in the skin – they adhere to your complexion, so it stays in place from dawn to dusk.

The foundation contains Papaya Enzymes, which help exfoiliate and improive the skin’s texture, Bamboo Stem Extract which kicks in to help give a blurring, soft-focus effect. The mineral pigments blur imperfections, and iron oxide enhances the colour staying power of the foundation.

It comes in 30 ‘true-to-you’ shades to complement every skin type and tone.

The shade I’ve been trying is Dawn 02, and the match is pretty decent. bareMinerals also launch a new foundation brush with this foundation – the Luxe Peformance Brush. This, I love. It’s been specifically designed to blend around difficult areas like your nose and eyes, mimicking the finesse and precision of your fingertips.

It’s made of tightly bound synthetic and hypoallergenic fibres which make it easy to apply a streak-free application. The brush is great – it really does get into all those places, and it feels great on the skin.

bareMinerals BAREPRO Performance Wear Liquid foundation SPF20, £29, and Luxe performance Brush, £24, available from Debenhams, bareminerals.co.uk, and bareMinerals Boutiques now, and then from department stores nationwide from September 7.
