Jo Malone Charity Candle 2017

Jo Malone London launch a charity candle every year, with proceeds going to charity partners in one of their gardens.Back in 2014, I attended the launch of the Edinburgh venture – the Redhall Walled Garden – with Jo Malone London.

This year, the new garden is The Quiet Garden, in Notting Hill in London, which opened last month. The charity this year is St Mungo’s one of the UK’s leading homelessness charities – four in ten rough sleepers suffer form mental health issues –  and this garden is one of its Putting Down Roots projects.

These gardens offer people who have suffered from mental health issues to reconnect, recover, and grow, by gaining experience as trainee gardeners. The Edinburgh gardens are beautiful, and it’s such a great idea. This latest garden continues Jo Malone London’s mission to shine a light on mental health – always a good thing.

The Charity Home Candle, this year in new  Iris & Lady Moore, or much-loved Peony & Moss, is a lovely gift, and a donation equal to 75 per cent of the retail price of £46 (less VAT) goes directly to the charity partners.
