I love a new foundation (although I have found a beauty in Shiseido Synchro Skin Glow), and I have three to try out over the next few weeks. First up is from Estee Lauder.
The NEW Estee Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup SPF30 landed on my desk last week, and it’s actually perfect for my holiday, because the shade is 2N1 Desert Beige, which is a little darker than my normal shades. There are 33 shades to choose from, for all skintones.
This new liquid makeup in the Double Wear collection is super lightweight. it really does feel like you have nothing on. It does give a very light, but decent coverage, and it’s packed with SPF30 and anti-oxidants to help shield the skin against environmental damage.
It contains a Hyaluronic Acid blend, so it insantly boosts moisture. There is also Laminaria Saccharina in there to control shine, and a Red Fruit Moisture Complex works to help the skin look smooth.
It’s a buildable base as well, so you can add a bit more if you need it, and it won’t streak, or cake. It really doesn’t either. One thing it is missing for me is a scent. I know that sounds weird, especially with foundations, but I do love a base that has a fresh smell!
The other thing is the bottle – it’s not a pump, and I love a pump. With this, just place your finger over opening and pour a little out. Or pour it into the well of a brush if you are using one like that, or onto a blending sponge. And always work from the centre of the face outwards.
