Sheet masks! Everyone is doing them, and why not. But this new one from Clarins is a goodie, because, let’s face it, a lot of them are, well, a wee bit of a let-down on the actual ‘is it doing anything for my skin’ front.
The new Clarins Super Restorative Instant Lift Serum Mask (catchy!) will lift and smooth the skin. The gel-serum on the mask will help to tighten the skin in just 15 minutes. Skin appears radiant, lifted, and youthful. It works like any other sheet mask – take it out, pop it on, leave it, then massage in residual serum and feel and look fab!
This mask has an innovative shape though, in that it stretches over both the face and neck. The material is made from 100% biodegradable natural cotton fibres and wood cellulose. AND…it has wee bits that hook over your ears, so you can wander about with it on!
It contains skin tightening oat sugars, line-filling pearls – microspheres enriched with apple pectin and hyaluronic acid. Organic harungua extract helps the skin gain density and tone, and there’s nourishing shea oil, and horse chestnut to targer the skin’s microcirculation.
Clarins also launch their Super Restorative Treatment Essence, to add to their Super Restorative line. Again, inspired by Korean beauty, or KBeauty, this is essentially like a toner – but we don’t call them that these days!
Use it first in your skincare regime to waken the skin, or use it in the evening as well.,. It contains Hibiscus flower acid to enhance quick removal of dead surface skin cells, and glycerine to moisturise.
Green coffee boosts the skin’s energy with ginseng root extract reinforcing this. Organic oat sugars are also in the essence, minimising signs of fatigue on waking, and soothing tired skin at the end of the day.
I love sheet masks, so I am happy to try this, but I never remember to use essence, or toner in my routine!
