Clarins AW17 Makeup

Clarins actually launched their AW17 collection on July 30 – how’s that for early?! It’s also technically their Autumn collection – called Graphik – and it’s just a few products,  but there is a fab new eyeliner in there.

The Graphik Ink Liner (£21) is an eyeliner pen, with a carbon black pigment, to deliver a slick black line in one pen stroke. I adore the Clarins liquid liner, and I am more a fan of a brush than a pen, but this is great. Great, dark, black, and doesn’t move. It comes in one shade – 01 intense black.

There’s quite a focus on eyes here, with the Ombre Matte Eyeshadow (£19), in 10 midnight blue, a cream-to-powder formula, to create a sultry smoky eye.

As ever, there’s a 4-Colour Eyeshadow Palette (£34) – this one is Forest, which is a harmony of autumnal tones. There are two rich green shades, one subtle with a satin finish, the other deeper with more of shimmer. These are complemented by a dark matte grey and a soft pink. The shadows are enriched with mineral pigments and can be used wet or dry.

The Limited Edition shade of Blush Prodige (£27)  – 09 golden pink – gives that lovely ‘healthy glow’ look we all covet.

For lips, there’s a Lipliner Pencil (£17.50) in two new shades- 05 roseberry and 06 red. The Joli Rouge Lipstick (£20) comes in three new shades 754 deep red, 755 litchi, and 756 guava.

They’re a blend of shimmer, colour pigments, and high-shine ingredients, and deliver a lovely hit of colour with a satin finish.
