Strawberries & Cream Beauty
Are you watching Wimbledon? It’s such a British institution we can’t ignore it, and so today’s post is all about a Wimbledon favourite – strawberries and cream! Well, sort of!
I’ve rounded up some strawberry and cream beauty products to get us in the Wimbledon mood! (Come on Andy Murray!)
Paul Mitchell’s The Cream will not taste good with strawberries, so don’t please pour it over them, but do use it on your poor, parched, hair. It’s like a conditioning/styling/volumising product. Fresh Cream is the perfect accompaniment to strawberries – and the name of Philosophy’s decadent, sweet scent. Try it in EDT spray, £34) or their cult product, the Shampoo, Shower Gel and Bubble Bath (£19.50, both available at John Lewis). The essence of whipped cream is enhanced by soft floral notes of almond blossom and heliotrope, along with vanilla milk and tonka. If you like sweet, you will love this!
Clinique’s Cream Pop Eyeshadow (£15.50) is a thing of beauty in its own right. Create a neutral eye with this as a perfect base colour. It’s so pretty though, I don’t want to use it!
EOS has a delicious strawberry flavoured lip balm (£6.50, Boots) in a spherical tennis ball-like shape! It contains antioxidant rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil.
Heathcote & Ivory’s Morris & Co Strawberry Thief products have a scent that has a hint of wild berries about it. The candle (£23) is beautiful – I love the print more than the smell if truth be told.
The Hand Lotion is part of a Hand Wash & Hand Lotion Duo (£25) which is so cute – both products come housed in a box that looks like a book. What’s not to love?
Finally, Princess of Hearts EDT by Vera Wang (£50) has notes of wild strawberry. It’s a fruity gourmand fragrance – again, very sweet- and opens with watermelon, bergamot and that wild strawberry. The heart has green floral notes of Lily of the Valley, along with Star Jasmine. Vanilla Cream, Musk and Cedarwood give a sweet drydown.
