Plump those lips with PMD's Kiss
Continuing on the International Kissing Day theme, I’d like to introduce you to this little gadget from US company PMD. Meet Kiss, the lip plumping device.
I wrote about this the other month in a feature for the Daily Record, and I have used it. And it is odd. It’s fun, doesn’t hurt, doesn’t give you the horrific lip disasters that putting a shot glass on you lips, sucking and creating a vacuum did.
It’s a similar concept of course, but trust me, it’s totally safe. However … the results are not trout-pout worthy, so if you are looking for that look, then I would suggest going to a registered professional who can inject filler.
If you want a bit of lip plumping fun, then give this ago.
“The PMD Kiss is the first lip plumping device to utilise vacuum technology with a smart serum to create natural fuller looking lips,” says Sam Alexander, CEO of PMD. “We wanted to create a safe, smart and sexy way for our customers to achieve fuller lips without injectable fillers or implants, that provides long-lasting results.”
So, how does it work? Well, it’s very easy actually. Charge it up, switch it on, choose from two speeds – the slower speed has greater suction – then hold it over four or six areas of the lips – top and bottom, and holdfor 10-20 pulses on each area. The device beeps so you never lose count!
You apply the Kiss Smart Lip Plumping Serum first – which gives a tingle. Then you start the suction. It takes about three minutes, and PMD say the results last for 3-5 hours. I don’t know. I think it did work to a point, my lips certainly felt fuller, but I don’t think it lasted that long.

It’s a fun gadget to use, and if lips are your thing, but you don’t want to take that injectable step, then perhaps give it a go.
