EsteeLauder Bronze Goddess 2017

2 min read

Sitting at my desk, looking out at the pouring rain, it seemed a good time to have a look at the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess collection for 2017.

Every year, EL bring out some new products in this collection, and the cult Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche fragrance. I absolutely love the smell of this perfume – it’s summer in a bottle!

The Eau Fraiche is here, in 50ml and 100ml (£42 and £59), but the emphasis is on the sultrier, sexier side of summer this year with the new incarnation of the Bronze Goddess Eau De Parfum (£57, and £80). It opens with zesty Juicy Mandarin and Italian Bergamot, with Ginger Extract to awaken the senses. Then there’s Creamy Coconut to add warmth, as well as Frangipani Petals and the richly textured scent of Jasmine Sambac Absolute. On the dry down, there’s Cashmered Woods, Amber and Vanilla Absolute.

It too comes in 50ml and 100 ml bottles – and lovely shiny rose gold bottles with textured caps and a hint of turquoise (to evoke the heat of the Riviera sun), at that. The packaging this year is inspired by the Estee Lauder Heritage compact collection.

Added to the body line this year is the Bronze Goddess Body Salt Scrub (£34) which is scented with Eau Fraiche. Not new, but lovely, is the Bronze Goddess Shimmering Oil Spray for Hair & Body (£36) whcih works to condition summer hair, reduce frizz and add sparkle, gloss and shine.

There are two new Limited Edition Bronze Goddess Summer Lip Glows in Sunlit Nude and Sun Blush (£24) soft, subtle summer shafes, with a cocktail of vitamins and butters keeping lips nourished.

Bronze-wise, the classic Bronze Goddess Powder bronzer in Light, Medium, Medium Deep and Deep (£34) is a great bronzer, in a super chic palette. This year, there are two new Limited Edition compacts.

The Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelee (£34) is a fab highlighter. Smooth it on as a soft sheen and build it up to a luminous pearl highlight. it’s so easy to use, and creates a spectrum of finishes, depending on how you use it and where.

The Bronze Goddess Summer Look Palette (£45), in a  geometric design, houses four products to highlight, blush and bronze – and there’s a little hint of teal there to add an accent to the eyes. Again, it’s a lovely compact.
