Star Magnolia from Jo Malone London
JO MALONE LONDON launch a new cologne this month – Star Magnolia, and, in a first for the brand, it also comes in a hair mist. Why? Why not?!
The scent itself is, dare I say it, quite old-fashioned. Perhaps traditional is a better word. I really like it, but then I like ‘old lady florals’ and I really do think this has that tone about it – but in a good way!
Of course the notes include star magnolia – as well as magnolia leaf, and then there’s orange blossom, lemon, ginger, and shiso.Oh and a base of sandalwood, but, to be honest, it’s a true floral.
This living Star Magnolia Blossom offers floral, fresh, transparent notes with juicy, jasmine, petaled accents. While the Magnolia leaf Oil brings a fresh, green facet to the fragrance – Master Perfumer, Anne Flipo
The Hair Mist has conditioning ingredients, but I haven’t tried it, so I can’t comment more. The cologne – it’s just lovely.
It’s light and fresh – and very floral. If you don’t like florals, you won’t want to go near this one!
It also comes with lovely floral inspired packaging, in the Jo Malone London style, with every new fragrance now having its own special branding.
It’s Limited Edition, so get it while you can – available in two sizes, 30ml and 100ml.
Jo Malone London Star Magnolia Hair Mist, £38, and Cologne, 30ml £46, 100ml £92, available from May at Jo Malone London stores and locations, and jomalone.co.uk
