Pore Perfection with Clarins

Benefit don’t have the monopoly on minimising pores (see yesterday’s post) – Clarins have introduced a new Pore Perfecting range this spring, for the non-Benefit fans out there.

The French brand has launched two new products – Pore Perfecting Foundation, and Pore Perfecting Kit.

This duo of products are designed to give you flawless skin. Of course, that’s not really going to happen, but they are going to go someway to giving you a better complexion – smoother, and the beauty of these products is that they are part makeup/part skincare, so they are always working on your skin concerns.

The Pore Perfecting Matifying Foundation (£28) – annoyingly spelled with just one ‘t’ – optically blurs imperfections thanks to acacia gum micropearls which soak up moisture in the skin, reduces the shine thanks to red clay, and adds luminosity with soft focus pearls.

It also hydrates, thanks to organic salicornia extract, and protects against free radicals, thanks to tocopherol derivative, a powerful known antioxidant. It comes in two shades – Nude Ivory, and Nude Amber.

The Pore Perfecting Matifying Kit (£33) is a powder and blotting papers kit, in a sleek gold compact. The papers are made from highly absorbent hemp and wood pulp, making them soft and they are also eco-friendly, and refillable (the refills are £15).

Those acacia gum micropearls are in there again, to soak up excess oil, and the translucent powder has white clay in it, which controls shine all day long. It’s invisible, soft, and 30 times finer than classic powders.

With these products combined, you are definitely going to at least have a good chance of beating that shine.
