Clarins Summer Collection

1 min read

Despite it being FREEZING outside this week, the beauty companies’ summer collections are already on counter. So, if you need a summer-style pick-me-up, then go have a play!

Clarins Summer 2017 collection launched earlier this month, and there isn’t that much to it – just three Limited Edition products.

There are two new metallic Waterproof Eye Pencils (£17.50) in Gold and Copper, perfect for adding a stroke of metallic beauty in the summer months. They work well for night and day in the summer, and you can even wear them to the beach!

Clarins always bring out a gorgeous powder palette, and those I receive from the press office tend to end up in my mum’s drawer, unused! She loves them. This year’s palette is a beautiful, oversized, Bronzing & Blush Compact (£30) embossed with a botanical palm motif that reminds me of 1970s prints, and therefore I adore it.

The palette has three matte bronzer shades, and an iridescent coral blush. Much like the Tom Ford collection I blogged about yesterday, this is inspired by the setting sun, and the harmony of shades complements all skintones.

The formula cares for the skin, and adds luminosity, thanks to the Anti-Pollution Complex, and the Light Optimizing+ Complex. It is a lovely thing.

As ever, there is an Eye Quad (34), inspired by colours of the sunset, and perfect for a sunkissed summer look. Shades of beige, gold, vibrant orange and bronze, encaesd again in that lovely 70s-vibe packaging. The shadows are 100% minerakl, plant-based pigments, and can be used wet or dry. They are matte, satin and pearl finishes.
