NEW Sisley Phyto Blush Twist
I love a ‘stick’ product. Anything I can just sweep over my face, or quickly fill my lips in with. Clinique obviously led the revolution when they launched their Chubby Sticks a few years back, but plenty have followed suit.
Sisley launched a lip crayon, and eyeshadow stick, and now a cheek version – the Phyto Blush Twist. Sisley are at the top end of the luxury beauty world, and the products are not cheap. These blusher sticks are £45 each, and come in four shades – three blusher shades; Petal, Fuchsia and Papaya, and one bronzer shade, Glow.
So, do they deliver?
Well, they promise a lot.
They aim to give you an ‘Instant Radiance Boost’ by “lifting and sculpting facial features in a single stroke, with a translucent finish”. The formula has film-forming wax, for a long-lasting result, and micronised pigments within the gel formulation.Which brings us to the ‘Ultra Sensory Texture’. These do not feel gel-like or sticky, or anything like that. They actually feel fantastic to apply.
Sisley say they offer “all the comfort of a cream that melts onto the skin but is then transformed into a delicate powder with a soft-focus effect” – and I have to agree. The texture, achieved by combining lightweight oils wth a a gel system to create a ‘blur’ effect, really works well.
As with most cosmetics these days, there is an element of skincare and this Sisley product contains shea oil and camellia oil for hydration, and vitamin E acetate to help with the skin’s care.
As for using the new Phyto Blush Twist, Sisley say it’s so easy you don’t even need a mirror! Although I always use one! It is easy though, and the effect is lovely. I used the Petal, a beautiful palest of pale pinks, which gave me a lovely rosy glow to my cheeks.
My verdict?
If you have the cash, love an easy-beauty product, then splash out. They give great colour pay-off, feel lovely on the skin, and are simple to use.
