LoveLily from Accessorize

You don’t have to spend a fortune on perfume, it all depends on what you want from a fragrance. The new LoveLily from Accessorize is not a sophisticated scent, but don’t discount it yet.

It’s a floral, obviously, and it is, like many florals, pretty sweet. I’m not a huge fan of florals, I have to admit, and this is probably too sweet for me, but it’s not unpleasant, and it comes in gorgeous printed packaging with a bit of a clunky bottle, that has a floral inset in the lid.

However it does cut a pretty spring picture in these cold January days!

I think this is a perfect gift for Mother’s Day, for your Granny, for a teenager  – for anyone who loves a floral fragrance and isn’t overly particular about their scents.

The fragrance opens with juicy top notes of raspberry and orange, invigorated with a zesty accord of bergamot.

At its heart is, of course, Lily of the Valley (or Muguet as the fragrance folk call it), combined with Jasmine. I’m not getting a strong sense of jasmine, or lily of the valley, to be honest, just a ‘florally’ smell. I do get the sweet vanilla base, and the aromatic musks are not overpowering at all.

New Spring floral fragrance?

Even after the dry down you can still really smell the top notes here, as well as the florals.
