It’s that time of year when perfume sales soar – it’s an easy, but lovely Christmas gift. So, here’s a couple from L’Occitane, for a fragrance gift with a difference, and not a crazy price tag.
First up L’Homme Cologne Cedrat. It’s a citrus/woody/aquatic scent with top notesof Corsican cedrat, mint and pink pepper, a heart of violet leaf and ginger, and a base of cedar, musk and amber.
It’s a very masculine scent, but with fresh accents, and comes in a lovely hip flask shaped bottle.
For women, there’s the new Arlesienne EDT. It’s a beautiful blend of three flowers – the rose of Grasse, the violet of Tourrettes-Sur-Loup, and the saffron of Provence.
So, this is a multi-faceted fragrance, with an interesting scent. It falls into the musky flower category, and has top notes of bergamot essence, saffron extrct, Galbanum SFE, and hawthorn accord. The heart is that may rose absolute, and violet leaf absolute, and the base is musk, ambrette, sandalwood, and ambrox.
It’s an interesting feminine scent with a heady dry down, but nothing too overwhelming. And there is a full complementary body range with this one as well, including beauty milk, hair mist and soap.
