Ojon launch Thickening Styling Mist

2 min read

There has been a huge trend in the haircare world of late for thickening products. Not volumising, but actual  thickening, where the hair shaft is actually expanded, and volume isn’t just added to the hair.

Ojon are the latest to launch one – the Damage Reverse Thickening Styling Mist for Volume & Lift. Having dyed  – and more Ojon Thickening Styling Mistworryingly bleached –  my hair on and off for all of my adult life, my once-thick hair has become a bit fragile and thin at times.

I’ve converted to various hair products to help restore the thickness of my hair, and this is the latest one I’m trying. What I like about this is that it is strengthening, so your hair will get better with more use. It’s not a temporary fix. It contains Ojon oil, of course, as well as Tamanu Oil and Phyto Proteins which work to add strength to your hair.

The French Polynesian Tamanu Oil is rich in phospholipids that are similar in composition to the lipids naturally found on the scalp. It’s extracted just once a year from the Tamanu nut, which is collected from the beach shore and is left to try int he sun for two months until it produces a thick, rich oil.

Ojon Oil is rich in esential lipids, and is clinically proven to penetrate deep within the hair shaft to repair and seal the cuticle. It’s been used as a hair treatment for over 500 years by communities in Central America.

So, this is a 2-in-1 mist with thickening and styling benefits and it works on both wet and dry hair – and this is something else i like about this product.

You can reapply it throughout the day to add volume and lift to your hair, and instantly refresh it. However, the real power is in the application to damp hair. Spray it thoroughly on damp hair in sections from roots to ends, and comb through. Then style as normal, and notice how your hair feels thicker. When you want to reapply, just hold it about 6 to 8 inches from the hair and mist it all over.
