Alpha H Beauty Sleep Power Peel

I am a big fan of skincare brand Alpha-H. I use their Liquid Gold every other night, and my skin definitely benefits from it. So, a new Alph-H product has me interested immediately – but I will admit I am a little bit scared of this one.

Okay, I’m not really scared, but the Alpha-H Beauty Sleep Power Peel isn’t called that for nothing, you know! This dual-effect power resurfacing peel and anti-ageing skin restorative has been created to dial away the years while you sleep.

Basically, it works to accelerate the skin’s in-built repair mechanisms, boost collagen formulation, and force the skin to maximise its own production of moisture and hyaluronic acid. That is powerful!

Alpha-H say this is an entirely new step in home skincare treatment – one which replicates the benefits of  invasive procedures such as
dermal fillers and rollers, using topically applied cosmeceuticals and power botanicals combined with the unique low pH delivery system Alpha-H is famous for.

It’s a clinical exfoliation and skin renewal in one effortless step – one which you can slot into any existing skincare routine. My only question I still have unanswered really is, where do I use this, if I use Liquid Gold every other night? You use this twice a week, but surely not on nights you wouldn’t use Liquid Gold? That would be too much. I will have to investigate this, and report back!

The dead skin cells are eliminated by 14% Glycolic Acid and Fruit Enzymes in this peel, and this provess clears a pathway for the deeper penetration of the 0.5% Retinol in the product. Retinol is an old-school beuaty ingredient that works on lines and wrinkles, and it does get a bad press. But in low doses, and used in night creams only, it stimulates the production of new cells, which helps with an enormity of skin and ageing issues.

It helps create a firmer, more resilient epidermis, whilst reducing scarring, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, acne breakouts and wrinkles.

The third part of the process in this product involves algae-derived Chronodyn and Hydranov-P which work on the new healthier skin cells, following the exfoliation and renewal, and keep them energised, plump and more durably hydrated.

The power peel also contains a gorgeous blend of Neroli, Sandalwood and Rosemary essential oils to relax the mind and body. This blend is just perfect at the end of the day, and can help promote good sleep.

You use it, as I said, twice a week, in the evening. Apply it in upward, circular motions to clean, dry skin on the face, neck and décolletage, avoiding the eye area. You can apply it over a serum, but you won;t need to apply anything over it.I’ve used it once, and it’s too soon to tell, but my skin did feel clear and fresh in the morning.
